30kV static electricity in silicone rubber mixing machine reduced to zero
Case study of a chemical manufacturer that manufactures and sells resin and silicone rubber processed products
In silicone rubber mixers, the products inside are subject to intense static electricity. As a result, foreign objects floating around the equipment, as well as workers’ hair and eyebrows, were attracted to and mixed in with the products in the mixer, causing a major problem. As a countermeasure, we had tried various static eliminators from other manufacturers, but they could not eliminate static from silicone rubber with the desired results.
However, when they used the BAR TRINC (TAS-311 BAM), they were surprised to find that it easily eliminated static charge from 26.8kV to 0kV. He seemed relieved that the foreign matter countermeasures, which had been stalled due to the lack of desired results, had finally made progress and that the number of foreign matter complaints would be reduced from now on. |
